How rose gold behaves
Because the colour comes from the alloy itself and not from a plating, it does not wear off and the ring never needs re-plating. The copper content also means rose gold scratches less easily than yellow gold at the same fineness, which is worth something in a ring worn every day.
A white diamond against rose gold reads warmer, and morganite, pink tourmaline and champagne-toned stones sit in the same family of colour and blend rather than contrast. If you want the stone to stand apart instead, a white stone with a white setting on a rose gold band gives you both.
